Kendall Jones- Occupational Therapist
Started at Helping Hands August 2020
I graduated from the University of Indianapolis in 2017, with my bachelor’s degree in
Psychology. I then went on to earn my doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from Indiana
Wesleyan University in 2020.
I have experience working with children of all ages within the clinic setting. I work with
children from birth-3 years old within their home through the Early Intervention system, as well.
I have had the opportunity to implement and expand my knowledge and experience with
programs such as Zones of Regulation, Alert Program, aquatic therapy, serial casting, feeding
therapy utilizing the SOS approach, and Ayres’ Sensory Integration. I have worked with children
with diagnoses of Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome, PANDAS, Fragile X Syndrome, and
Sensory Processing Disorder. For me, learning never stops and I am always seeking new ways to
expand my skills and experience to become a better OT.
My passion is working with children of all ages and abilities, utilizing a play-based and
client/family-centered approach to improve the child’s ability to participate in meaningful daily
activities. In my free time I love spending time with my husband, daughter, and our dogs. We
enjoy traveling, hiking, working out, and spending time at our family's cabin in Wisconsin.
